Problem:
BMI Healthcare, a group of 50 private hospitals in the UK, had three major enterprise data sharing projects: 1) BMI needed to implement a new web-based patient scheduling system; 2) establish an enterprise master patient index (EMPI) to provide a master patient identifier for every patient system-wide; and 3) provide two-way, real-time connectivity to the incumbent PAS in each of BMI's 50 hospitals as well as real-time connectivity to a series of NHS services.

Solution:
ClearSpan Server provides the integration layer that acquires, converts and transfers data to and from 13 separate hospital applications, the new UltraGenda Pro scheduling system and the Initiate EMPI engine across all 50 of BMI's hospitals.

Problem:
AMICUS InHealth diagnostic centres needed to to implement an integrated diagnostics platform to support the Remote Diagnostics programs for London and East of London regions, a Department of Health funded initiative. AMICUS also wanted to establish an integrated PACS, dictation, scheduling, referral and patient update environment and to provide two-way, real-time connectivity in each of AMICUS InHealth diagnostic centres (90+) as well as real-time connectivity to a series of NHS services.

eScription, Inc. needed a way to rapidly deploy integration between the eScription dictation engine and their customers' hospital information system in a way that efficiently and effectively routed ADT and Order messages. Their goal was to develop a standard deployment that could be quickly installed and easily modified by field engineers with varying levels of experience and technical skills.
