Problem:
Quest Diagnostics, which provides lab services to 45,000 physician offices, needed the ability to quickly and efficiently connect to virtually any physician practice management systems (PMS), physician billing system, and EPR/EMR. Quest's goal was to develop a standard configuration per practice management system that could be quickly installed and easily customized by field engineers of varying levels of abilities and technical skills.

Solution:
BridgeForward's Edge4 integration platform provides the connectivity to and from each of the new and existing practice management billing modules in client offices. Edge4 also gives Quest the ability to develop customized integration solutions, standardize the acquisition of data while permitting customer-centric solutions through BridgeForward's Adapter Tool Kit. Deployment is standardized and simplified using a compressed configuration file and DLL for customized routines.

Problem:
eScription, Inc. needed a way to rapidly deploy integration between the eScription dictation engine and their customers' hospital information system in a way that efficiently and effectively routed ADT and Order messages. Their goal was to develop a standard deployment that could be quickly installed and easily modified by field engineers with varying levels of experience and technical skills.

Solution:

Edge4 acts as the integration layer that acquires data from any hospital information system and delivers the data to the eScription dictation engine.
